Anju Bobby George is one of India’s most celebrated track and field athletes, specializing in the long jump.

She made history by winning a bronze medal at the World Championships in Athletics, becoming the first Indian to achieve this feat. Her personal best jump of 6.83 meters remains one of India’s finest records in athletics.

Anju also secured a gold medal at the IAAF World Athletics Final, marking another historic milestone. She represented India at the Olympic Games and consistently performed at the highest level.

She won medals at the Asian Games and dominated competitions across Asia.

Anju was honoured with the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna for her excellence in sports. She also received the Arjuna Award in recognition of her outstanding achievements.
