KARAKA CHATURTHI (Karwa Chauth)

Karwa Chauth is a special festival celebrated by married women in India. On this day, wives fast from sunrise to moonrise for the long life and happiness of their husbands. They dress up beautifully in colorful clothes, wear bangles and bindis, and gather to listen to the Karwa Chauth story and pray to Goddess Parvati. At night, when the moon appears, they look at it through a sieve and then see their husbands’ faces before breaking their fast with love and blessings.
