For Bengalis, Durga Puja is more than a festival; it is the homecoming of Maa Durga, our beloved mother, returning to her maternal home with her children. Rooted in centuries-old Bengali traditions, the sacred rituals of Maha Saptami begin with the Nabapatrika Snan and the invocation of the Goddess, carrying forward generations of faith, devotion, and love. With flowers, bel leaves, fruits, coconuts, sweets, incense, lamps, and the cherished bhog of khichuri, labra, and payesh, every offering becomes a prayer from the heart.

From the simplicity of ancestral courtyards, clay lamps, traditional dhak, and community gatherings to today’s magnificent pandals, creative artistry, digital celebrations, and a world transformed by technology, the expressions of devotion may have evolved, but the soul of this sacred celebration remains unchanged. The rituals still carry the fragrance of our roots, the warmth of our homes, and the unwavering faith of our people.

Because no matter how far the world advances, Maa always finds her way home. In her presence, generations come together; in her blessings, we find strength; and in her arrival, Bengal finds its heart again. From our grandmothers, who passed down the stories and rituals, to our mothers, who kept the traditions alive, to our daughters, who will carry them into tomorrow, the love for Maa Durga remains eternal.

2PF — Present Past Future — remembers and celebrates this timeless bond between Maa Durga and her children, honouring a devotion passed lovingly from one generation to the next. From our grandmothers to our mothers, from our daughters to generations yet to come — Maa Durga will forever be welcomed home.

শুভ মহা সপ্তমী। জয় মা দুর্গা।
