Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is one of India’s most beloved festivals, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm across India and by Indian communities around the world. In many traditions, the festival commemorates Lord Rama’s return to Ayodhya after fourteen years of exile and his victory over Ravana. It is also associated with Goddess Lakshmi, who is worshipped for prosperity, abundance, and good fortune. Families decorate their homes with diyas, colourful rangoli, and glowing lights. People exchange sweets, gifts, and heartfelt wishes with loved ones. Homes and temples come alive with prayers, devotion, and festive celebrations. Diwali reminds us to spread kindness, forgive others, and welcome new beginnings with positivity. Let us celebrate responsibly by choosing a cleaner, safer, and more environmentally friendly festival. May this Diwali fill every heart with peace, every home with happiness, and every life with hope.

2pf celebrates the timeless beauty of light, love, and togetherness.
